SURF BEACH & WATERFALL SAFARI
DESCRIPTION

Depart the resort at 8.30am and travel by 4WD vehicle through ‘Middlebush’, to the east Coast of the island, to Louniel village. Here you will leave your 4WD vehicle, be greeted by the local Chief, and meet your guide, for the walk down a steep and scenic descent on a purpose built track to the magnificent 40m waterfall where you can swim beneath its cascading waters with the local village children or simply take in the scenery. Following your return to the vehicle, you will be driven down to the Black Beach lookout, where you enjoy a panoramic view of the black sand coastline and Mt Yasur Volcano in the distance. Continue on to the black sand beach where you have free time to enjoy your picnic lunch (provided), swim, body board (provided), access the best Surf Break on Tanna, or just stroll along the volcanic sand. Refresh yourselves in the warm natural spring water that flows to the sea, before your return journey to the resort, arriving around 2.30pm

Note. The walk to and from the waterfall and beach requires a good level of fitness due to the steep incline – appropriate footwear is a must. This tour does not operate in inclement weather.
